What’s tiny, totally adorable and has big ears? Adelaide Zoo’s newest family member!

Three-month-old Tinka is one of 10 bilbies to be born at Adelaide and Monarto Zoos over the past year as part of a national conservation management program.

The Greater Bilby was once common across 70% of Australia, but are now under threat from predation by feral animals.

As a conservation charity, we’re doing our bit to secure the future of this vulnerable species.

We’re proud to have bred more than 200 bilbies, with some reintroduced back into the wild through a recovery project at Roxby Downs.
